Alfred Covington, MD
Dr. Covington earned a B.A. in biology at Brown University and was awarded his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Covington was on the faculty of Howard University Hospital, Washington D.C., where he engaged in allergy and asthma research as the director of the adult allergy clinic. Dr. Covington was awarded the status of Fellow in the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society and the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Dr. Covington volunteered in a FEMA medical clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana shortly after hurricane Katrina. He is also the proud father of four children who keep him busy during his time away from the office.
S. Diann Pace, P.A.
Ms. Pace graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida with a B.S. in dietetics. She worked as a nutritionist in the Women, Infant and Children Clinic for several years before entering the physician assistant program at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. As a physician assistant she worked in primary care and endocrinology practices before she joined Allergy and Asthma Specialty Group. She is a member of the America Association of Physician Assistants.
Ms. Pace is an active church member and a former Sunday school teacher.
